Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known character was that of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding supporting Performance on a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting while attending the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a year at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career with Chicago-area theaters for a couple of years. After that, she switched to television and film. Anna's debut role was Arden, in Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. In the early 90s Anna was a frequent guest on TV and in films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years on Deadwood's season two. The show was recast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully, the Deadwood film and other films included her. Gunn appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in Numbered Day, an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio-based plays. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual demise mirror the last few years in the story of Walter White.
