Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. He identified his interest towards acting during his time in the college classroom and then studied acting in the University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in TV and films, however it was his smaller-screen roles which gained him fame as well as an extensive following. He's been able to seamlessly play the roles of characters on both sides of the law and grab the audience's focus. When he first appeared on television, for his debut show, he was a serial murderer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. Eyes that are piercing blue on his face are considered to be the most appealing feature. The eyes have been employed to depict rough characters as well as give them a sense of humour. The year 2006 was the last time he was included in the People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
